First FPSO for the US Gulf of Mexico sails away

This month Myriad’s camera crews in Singapore have been in action capturing a key milestone event as the Cascade and Chinook FPSO, bound for Walker Ridge, Gulf of Mexico sailed away.
This is the first FPSO for the US Gulf of Mexico and as a result has been subject to stringent checks from the US coastguard and other regulatory authorities. Over the last two years Myriad has been capturing the evolution of the project from the early stages through installation offshore, to the operations planned for mid 2010.

For the sail away Myriad deployed two crews – one in the air capturing aerials from an open door helicopter and one on the water to capture the sheer scale of the vessel.

The journey will take it to the Gulf of Mexico where Myriad teams from Houston will be waiting to capture the arrival and installation offshore.

Fluor, one of our global clients, wanted to celebrate the progress and development of four of their young Kazakh employees as they developed their skills and knowledge by working across the business.
Myriad suggested creating video profiles on each of the four. Using our global crew network with our teams based in Atyrau, Almaty, Houston, Moscow and the UK we followed the trainees at work and interviewed them on the opportunities that working for the Company had given them. Knowledge and best practice was high on the agenda, as was skills development and teamwork. The work also focused on the collaboration between the Kazakh National Technical University (Kaz NTU) and University College London.
