To celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force (RAF), Myriad Global Media developed designs for a ‘state of the art’ audio-visual presentation at the RAF Museum in Hendon. The RAF Museum, as part of its new ‘Milestones of Flight’ building, wanted to install a new audio-visual area covering the last century of flight in a fast-paced treatment. Myriad’s solution envisaged a very modern interpretation with little narrative. Rather, there were numerous images, presented in a very punchy, stylised way, with extensive use of sound effects and contemporary music. Visitors should feel able to walk in and out, leaving with a sense of excitement for seeing the other parts of the museum.
