The challenge in energy
Energy work is technically dense, and the people who need to understand it could not be more different from each other. A control-room operator. A sovereign investor. An offtaker sizing up a twenty-year contract. A planning officer. A graduate weighing an offer. A community living beside the site. Each needs the same truth, told in a way that works for them.
And the work rarely gets an easy audience. Projects run for decades, from FEED to FID and on to first gas, scrutiny comes from every direction, and the politics of energy shift around a build long before it’s finished. The communication has to hold up the whole way through.
What we’ve learned is simple: clarity travels further than polish. Audiences in this industry know a lot, and they can tell when they’re being managed. Explaining the work plainly and honestly isn’t just the better approach. It’s the one that works.
