Tower Bridge – Opening up a London landmark
Client
Tower Bridge
Background
In the run up to the Millennium, Myriad Global won the Southwark Cathedral visitor attraction design and delivery contract against a tough opposition. On completion of that Project, Managers representing the Corporation of London approached us to develop a proposal to transform the Tower of London museum. One of the icons of the London skyline and a very popular visitor attraction.

Solution
The Corporation of London commissioned Myriad to carry out a major revamp of the exhibition at Tower Bridge Museum in London. Called the ‘Tower Bridge Experience’, the exhibition focuses on the history of this iconic landmark from inception through to the present day.
MGM’s input included improving visibility from the bridge spans to reveal stunning views of the London skyline and the banks of the Thames. The engine rooms of the bridge were also opened to the public, allowing visitors to view the machinery that lifts the roadway and allows ships to pass beneath. Myriad created a series of touchscreen interactive exhibits and videos enabling the audience to curate their own journey through the museum.
