Background
ADNOC Drilling is one of the largest drilling companies in the Middle East. In common with many companies in the industry HSE is a key component of operations. The initial requirement was for three 3D animated Induction videos covering procedures for onshore, offshore and Island drilling locations versioned in English, Hindi, Arabic and Urdu.
With a multicultural workforce it was important that the solution created could be relatable to all viewers and easily understood.
Solution
After studying the HSE policy and reading the induction specifics for each site Myriad created 5 HSE inductions. These inductions are all 3D animation with lifelike humans used throughout.
To ensure we achieved a realistic look and feel we used a body suit to capture movement of each activity to bring into the animation. This was the first project on which we had tried this type of motion capture and we were pleased to see the incredible results.
