Background
LR Senergy is an energy consultancy that provides technical expertise and complex technology to improve the performance of production wells for the energy industry. They were looking for an engaging way of explaining what they do; and why their Wellscope solution was a key technology for improving the productivity and performance of wells. Aware that Wellscope could benefit many companies, LR wanted to create a film to inform the industry about this breakthrough technology.
The Solution
After initial discussions, we confirmed that video would be the best medium to engage the target audience.
The subject matter, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), was pretty dry; the same technology that has been used in the Formula One and aeronautics industry. A series of analogies seemed to be the best way to explain the technology to a non-technical audience.
There was a need to not only explain what the technology was and why it was important for performance improvement, but to also introduce the team of experts that worked at LR Senergy. This film won a Platinum Award at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.
