Maersk Oil Qatar’s Al Shaheen development boasted many record-breaking achievements, ranging from the most extensive 3D seismic survey ever shot, to drilling the world’s longest horizontal well. The development had reached a momentous stage in the project lifecycle as the field celebrated 20 years since first oil. During that time 300 wells have been drilled and the one billion barrel milestone was achieved.

With a field of this complexity, 3D Animation is the perfect medium to demonstrate exactly how development challenges have been overcome. This animated video was strategically designed to suit a range of audience groups by achieving a balance between technical and more generic information.
Myriad Global Media worked with Maersk Oil over many years to produce award-winning corporate communications. When the Company was acquired by Total, Myriad continued the partnership. The solutions produced to date include advertorials, safety training communications, employee engagement videos, 3D animations, project comms and interactive resources.
