The brief

Angola’s flagship deepwater project, on a booth with no room to spare.

TotalEnergies came to Angola Oil & Gas 2026 with Kaminho, its deepwater development offshore Angola, and wanted the booth to do more than show renders of it. The centerpiece had to earn attention in a hall full of screens, and it had to fit: the booth was tight, and a 77-inch display can’t be allowed to choke the walkways. Before anything was built, our tech team turned TotalEnergies’ existing booth renders into a 3D replica inside a small web application, so the client could drag the screen stand anywhere on the floor plan and see exactly what fit. Placement was agreed before a single crate shipped.

The opportunity

A screen you look through, not at.

The answer to a crowded hall was a screen that doesn’t look like one. We sourced one of LG’s latest transparent OLED displays and manufactured a Kaminho-branded stand to match the approved mockup, so the app appears to float in glass, with the booth still visible behind it. Around it we designed a deliberately futuristic interface: sleek, sparse, and legible at a glance, built to be driven by touch in front of an audience.

The work

A digital twin, rebuilt for real time.

The heart of the app is a digital twin of the Kaminho FPSO, and getting it there was the ingenious part. The engineering-grade ship model was far too heavy for a real-time environment, and the timeline left no room for a traditional rebuild. So we rendered a high-resolution video of the ship model we were already using for a separate Kaminho animation, and used that video as the source for a gaussian splat scan. The result kept the detail of the original and runs smoothly in Unreal Engine, on a deadline that a conventional optimization pass would have missed.

Around the vessel sit optimized models of the subsea architecture and the reservoir. Vessel, field, and reservoir sections each carry hotspots that pull attention to what matters: tap one and the camera glides to the detail while an information panel opens alongside, from FPSO systems to subsea connections to the reservoir itself. A gallery section lets visitors browse photographs of the ship through the Kaminho development process.

The impact

The most senior audience a booth can get.

The application was the working centerpiece of the booth throughout the event, and it met the most senior audience a stand can host: the CEO of TotalEnergies and the company’s country manager explored Kaminho on the glass, and the event itself was attended by the president of Angola. A project still taking shape offshore became something leaders could hold, turn, and question on a show floor. That’s what the screen was built for.
