The brief.
Very few industrial sites reach one hundred, and fewer still matter this much when they do.
ExxonMobil’s Baytown complex turned a century old in 2019: a hundred years of operations, generations of employees, and a community that grew up alongside it. The anniversary needed a film that did the century justice.

The opportunity.
A centenary film is really a film about people.
The machinery changed beyond recognition across the hundred years; what carried through is the workforce and the town. The film tells the site’s story through that continuity, from the earliest development to the complex Baytown is today.

The work.
A century compressed without being flattened.
An anniversary film for the Baytown 100 celebrations, drawing the hundred-year arc of the complex’s development into a story for the people who work there now and the community around it.

The impact.
A film that moved the people it was about.
Baytown 100 landed as something more than a corporate anniversary piece: it proved genuinely emotional, and was received with real warmth by the local Baytown team and the wider community whose families have worked the site for generations. When a film about a workplace makes its own workforce feel seen, the century has been done justice.
