Deliverables

Kick-off, four milestone films, final documentary

The brief.

Repurposing North Sea reservoirs to store carbon is a serious story, told badly by most.

Perenco UK’s Poseidon and Orion projects live or die on stakeholder confidence, and the room is wide: government, regulators, financial institutions, potential customers and Perenco’s own people worldwide, all needing to see progress being made on site rather than promised in a press release. Perenco asked for content that could keep every one of those audiences engaged across a year of engineering.

The opportunity.

Treat a year of progress like a series, not a press release.

We built the campaign as an unfolding documentary: a kick-off film to set the stakes, milestone films to keep the story moving, and a final film to bring the year together. A consistent identity carried it: documentary framing, a suspense-driven score, and a visual language serious enough for the subject. Progress became something audiences followed rather than something they were told about.

The work.

Interviews you believe, graphics you understand.

Shot over two days at Perenco’s London offices, the films pair cinematic interviews with the engineers doing the work and 3D elements tracked into the live action, so a reservoir model sits on the table in front of the person explaining it. 2D and 3D graphics carry the science without slowing the story, and the content was localized for Perenco’s global audiences.

The impact.

A serious subject that found its audience.

The kick-off film drew strong views and engagement from the moment it landed on LinkedIn, and gave Poseidon and Orion a public identity that four milestone films built on through the year, culminating in a documentary of the UK’s first offshore CO2 injection test. For a technology that lives or dies on stakeholder confidence, the campaign did the quiet, cumulative work: keeping the projects visible, credible and understood, all the way to a national first.
