The brief.
An LNG project the coast has never seen, proposed for a place everyone knows.
Western LNG, together with the Nisga’a Nation and Rockies LNG, is developing Ksi Lisims LNG, “from the Nass River” in the Nisga’a language, a floating LNG production facility at Wil Milit on the northern tip of Pearse Island, near the Nisga’a village of Gingolx in British Columbia. At a proposed 12 million tonnes per year, it is a project of national scale in a landscape that could not be more sensitive. Before anything could move forward, three audiences had to understand exactly what was being proposed: the local community, the authorities, and the LNG industry itself. Western LNG asked Myriad to make the project visible.
The opportunity.
Don’t describe a floating facility. Put it on the water.
A floating LNG facility is hard to picture from drawings, and harder still to judge. We built the project in its real setting. The fjord, the forest, the shoreline at Wil Milit, so every audience could see the same truth: how the facility sits against the coast, how carriers approach and berth, and how the landscape holds around it. One honest picture, equally at home in a community meeting in Gingolx and an industry briefing.

A high-quality 3D animation and a set of ultra-high-definition stills, built from the project’s engineering data: the floating production facilities, the jetty and marine infrastructure, and the LNG carriers on approach, all placed accurately on the northern tip of Pearse Island. Terrain, water, and vegetation were recreated in photoreal detail, so the picture holds up wherever it is shown, from local engagement to the industry at large.

The animation became the project’s public face, demonstrating the key features and benefits of the development to the local community and to the industry as a whole, including the case that matters most: Ksi Lisims LNG is designed to have one of the lowest unit carbon emissions rates of any large-scale LNG export project in the world. When a project asks for trust before it exists, showing it honestly is the strongest argument there is.
